Tips for coloring butterfly wings
The classic challenge: make the left wing mirror the right. Pick your palette first, color one wing cell, then find its twin on the other side. Younger kids love the matching game, and the result always looks polished. For a showstopper, try a gradient that moves from warm colors near the body to cool colors at the wing tips. The circles and dots are perfect spots for the brightest pens in the box.
From coloring page to spring craft
Colored butterflies want to fly: cut them out, tape them to windows, hang them from a string as a mobile, or clip them to a classroom washing line for an instant spring display. Print on slightly heavier paper and the cut-outs hold their shape beautifully.

Do the wings have to match?
Real butterfly wings are symmetrical, but yours do not have to be. Mismatched wings have their own charm.
What ages are these pages for?
The dotted design suits little colorists from about age three; the patterned-panel butterfly gives older kids more of a challenge.
