Tips for coloring autumn pages

Fall is the one season with an official palette: orange, red, brown, gold and a little deep green. The nicest trick is to color the leaves on a single page in different warm tones instead of one flat color, exactly like a real tree in October. Leave a few leaves white and they read as sunlight. Markers love the big leaf shapes, but print on slightly heavier paper so they do not bleed through; our how-to-print guide explains the paper choices.

From coloring page to autumn craft

Colored leaves make beautiful garlands: cut them out, punch a hole in each and hang them on a string across a window or classroom wall. The scarecrow and the owl make sweet seasonal door signs.
